ABSTRACT

In this study, the determination of freedom and equality was made based on the concept of justice. On the basis of the concept of equality, inequality has been evaluated and its types have been criticized as theoretical, formal and opportunity inequalities. In this context, the sources of inequality have led us to the problem of Neoliberalism and Globalization. Corruption, poverty and violence-terrorist acts and cultural identity inequality emerged within the framework of these two sources were also emphasized as the causes. In the study, it is concluded that the concepts of freedom and justice cannot gain meaning unless income and property equality is ensured, especially in the context of equality of opportunity. A solution proposal has been presented to eliminate inequality within the limits of the study.

ÖZ

Bu çalışmada, adalet kavramından yola çıkılarak özgürlük ve eşitliğin belirlenimi yapılmıştır. Eşitlik kavramı temelinde eşitsizlik değerlendirilerek onun kuramsal, biçimsel ve fırsat eşitsizlikleri olmak üzere türleri eleştirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, eşitsizliğin kaynakları bizi Neoliberalizm ve Küreselleşme sorununa götürmüştür. Bu iki kaynak çerçevesinde ortaya çıkan yozlaşma, yoksulluk ve şiddet-terör eylemlerinin ve kültürel kimlik eşitsizliğinin de sebepleri olarak vurgulanmıştır. Çalışmada, bilhassa fırsat eşitliği bağlamında gelir ve mülkiyet eşitliği sağlanmadıkça özgürlük ve adalet kavramlarının da anlam kazanamayacağı sonucuna varılmıştır. Çalışmanın sınırları ölçüsünde eşitsizliğin giderilmesi için çözüm önerisi sunulmuştur.
